sitka diver has a boat,,, so does alaska Herb.. we can shore dive and some can boat dive.. plenty of options

Yup, we have multiple options.... 2 dives I want to do, when you guys are here.....

1) Dive the South side of the causeway. I'm told there is military china up in the shallows, but the bottom also looks rocky and stepped in many places. Could be a good critter dive and we could see Wolf eels and Octo's. I poked around in there with the depth sounder when Rick came up. Haven't dove it yet though, as I'm saving the virgin site for Mr. Norris.

2) I still want to dive Magoon Pass. I snag rock fish in there all day with my kids, and the kepl forest is super thick in the middle, with bull kelp on the outer edges of the rock ledge.

What dates are you guys looking at? Any idea yet? Dave gonna camp you all at his house, or should I clean the dog hair of my couch?

Keith and I are kicking around a Tues to Sat, either Jan 29 to Feb 2 or Feb 19 to Feb 23.

Keith might extend beyond those five days, not sure yet. The wild card is Keith's health - his back is barking at him pretty .loudly.

We are excited about hanging out with a bunch of diving crazies and diving the wonderful Sitka waters again!

Those dives sound great!

As to lodging, who knows? We are grateful, and at the mercy of your hostility... er, hospitality.

Just kick the moose and the bears out and we are good!

Dave, you're right. The viz is getting better all the time. Last weekend, we must have had 40+ feet at the mouth of the river. Haven't been out of town in a few weeks, but the harbor viz is up in the 40 - 50 foot range also:

Here was my recent wreck dive: Sorry, but I had a strobe issue.....

Maybe when you guys get up here, you can help get the poles off this boat. Unfortunately, someone else already ripped off the gurdies.
