Southern Thailand

Post by seattlepaul1975 »

In process of planning a trip to Thailand for March. We (wife and I) want to do a day of diving. We will be in southern Thailand for the time we are there. Thoughts on best place to go for a day of diving? Yes I know only a day so want to find or hit the best place that we can.

You might try to message huskeychemist here on this board. He lived in Thailand for awhile and I believe did some diving there.

By "southern Thailand" what area do you mean? Phuket/Krabi or elsewhere?

Just got back from diving Phuket (living in Singapore a fair chunk of the year these days). The boat situation was not what I'd call optimal and there are a LOT of dive boats going out every day of the week... but the underwater scenery was superb. Here's a quick peek at one of our dives:

Anyways, if I can be of help, happy to do so. Tangfish also spends a lot of time in SE Asia and likely has some good input on possibilities for day-diving as well.
