Scuba club runs big "cattleboat" type dives. I prefer the ops with the smaller fastboats, with 6 divers max. Aldora is one of many such ops on cozumel. Tres Pelicanos is another, as is Deep Blue, and many more. Aldora is one of only 2 ops that I am aware of that dives steel 120s and steel 100s, as opposed to the al80s used by everyone else on the island.

I don't know how Aldora compares to Scuba Club Cozumel, but I have had a great time with Aldora. The tanks are 120s, I have never had more than 5 divers on a boat, and the dive masters are great. All the dives have been close to 90 minutes and very relaxed![/quote]

+1 for aldora

Playa Del Carmen recommendations

Postby BUZO71 » Sun Feb 07, 2016 6:07 pm

I think I'm heading to Playa Del Carmen in April... any suggestions? I'm looking for a dive shop and also a place to stay. I speak spanish so staying on the economy is fine (no need for resort)... thanks!
