Diving the Andrea Doria

It’s been 60 years since the ol’ gal sank, and by all reports she’s starting to settle, but still one of the most iconic wrecks on the east coast.

OceanGate and Argus Expeditions are planning a submersible dive expedition to the Doria this June with the 5-man sub Cyclops. The mission is to create a 3D map of the wreck with multi-beam sonar and photogrammetry.

Anyone on this board been to the Doria or other wrecks in that area?

No, but I have dove the Honey Bear which is pretty cool. Some people even like to dive it every week.

Forget the Honey Bear, this bad boy lies at 33 feet at Cove 1.
