Leaving 2/27 for a week in northern Florida. Not the warm ocean water, Keys diving, full of New York tourists kind of Florida. We're headed for the flat, marshy, pickup-trucks-with-shotguns-in-the-back-window kind of Florida. And we are hauling all our scuba gear with us, so that we can spend a week looking at . . . WET ROCKS!
Yes, another fun and adventure-filled week of cave diving. My goals are to return to the Pacific Northwest with SOME skin on my fingers, and to make 800 feet of penetration, somewhere. (And not to silt up anything or otherwise embarrass myself excessively.)
We have a wonderful crew of people joining us, some we met before and some which are new. The marvellous generosity of divers is yet again in evidence, in that all kinds of people are offering to show up and play guide (and probably babysitter) for us.
