(i know you do, penopolypants, just wondering who else)
if you do, i'm curious to know how it compares to other undergarments you have tried, and also if you noticed a change in your weighting as a result.
thanks.

I started out with a SubXero diving here and replaced it with a Artic. The SubXero seemed like overkill for me. I can't tell you how much additional weight it needed since I switched out a lot of equipment from the few dives I had in it. I have been happy with the Artic here with my Weezle thermal booties.

psundquist - do you find the Arctic sufficient in the winter months?
and thanks for the tip, chef. i'll PM bigsky and ask him about his SubX.

I wear the Artics year round, only in the summer they can get a little too warm. Course I'm wearing them under an Apollo neoprene suit so I do have a bit more insulation than a shell suit.

You get cold easy? I freeze, so when I hear of people saying an undersuit is too warm...I'm very interested!
Re: Fourth Element SubXero - anyone here dive one?
yeah, i'm in a trilam, so the artic alone probably wouldn't be enough.
i wouldn't say i get cold easily, but after 60+ minutes in >50F water i'm pretty chilled by then end. a couple polypro layers under my weezle and i'm ok. i'm mostly just curious to see how the FE stuff compares.sheahanmcculla wrote:You get cold easy? Re: Fourth Element SubXero - anyone here dive one?
I was not cold at all in the Artic during a 39 degree dive in Lake Michigan this summer, but it was in the 70's and sunny pre and post dive. I was warm when I used them here in 42 degree dives in late winter early spring when I decided to sell the SubXero. The biggest problem I had was with my hands getting cold, and after I added liners to my dry gloves the problem was solved. I'd recommend calling Matthew De Haan at Northwest Sports Divers, he is a Fourt Element expert. For the record, Matthrew recommend the Artics first.
