Faber tank working pressure

Post by Dive Monkey »

I have a set of older faber hp100 tanks with a working pressure of 3180. These tanks have the plus 10 rating. What I’m looking to find out is, are they 100cf at the working pressure of 3180 or at the plus 10 rating (3498).

My impression, backed up by threads like this http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/tanks- ... tions.html, is that for the rated volume, you do need to fill to the "plus" pressure (3498).

This has been the case for all the tanks I've seen except one. I have a strange Heiser lp140 that is stamped 127cf (which would be correct after expiration of the + rating).

A lp 140? I've never even heard of one. Can you actually lift it?

Seriously, sorry to jump on this thread so late in the game, but how is this tank in the water? It's got to be huge.

...... Nevermind. Just found your thread on Scuba Toys... Thanks posting both...
