Photon Torpedo LED Upgrade

Post by ArcticDiver »

I'm thinking of dropping the LED Upgrade unit into my Photon Torpedo. Anybody with experience? (hesitate to ask) Opinions?

According to the Gulftex web site the module is about $65.

Photon Torpedo LED Upgrade

I bought a couple of drop in modules from a guy on Scubaboard.

His name is jjblomquist. You might do a search or him on there I think his email is jjblomquist@comcast.net. I don't know if he is still selling the led modules but when I bought mine they were quite a bit less than the Gulftex lights.

He used to sell the modules on eBay.

The UK LED modules fit. I bought some UK C4 lights online and robbed them of their modules about 6 or 7 yrs ago. Still work fine.

You might look at Brightguy.com they sell the SL4 lights but they do not list the modules separately. You might shoot them an email and they might be able to hook you up with some LED modules. One thing with the LED modules that I have gotten is that I had to put the batteries in backwards (negative up towards bezel) to get the light to work.
