Neck Seal Replacement

Post by Scuba Scott »

Looking for a quick replacement for a neck seal on a Bare shell suit. Any recommendations for a shop with quick turnaround or a shop with seals for a DIY project?
Life can be short and dives even shorter. Time off work will put it all in perspective.

If you want to go the neoprene route, I believe NWbrewer posted a DIY tutorial here for a neo neck seal.

I think you've figured out the root cause of your problems. Even sea lions get annoyed by splitfin divers silting out their dive sites. Switch back to your jets and you'll be safe from the sea lion silt prevention patrol from now on. - NWbrewer

That neck seal lasted about 2 years. It was ok, but the 3mm was too thick and tended to bunch under my chin the new 2 year or so old 2mm is much better.

Give Hoodsport n Dive a call to find out how quickly they can do a neck seal.
They sell BARE drysuits.
Either store, Hoodsport or Tumwater.

Tacoma Scuba does fast work on seals and they have always done a good job for me.
