PNW Light Choice

Just wondering if any of you have any experience with the Big Blue TL4000P torch. I am thinking on getting this as my primary light. I imagine it is good to have a more focused beam while diving in PNW. Is a 10 degree beam good for this?

Look at Dusty's lights. it's a can light, but is a better price and is a fantastic light. Made locally by a guy experienced in Puget Sound. My wife and I both use one as our primary.

I think you will find that the overwhelming response to this question will be pretty much what Magoi has stated. I have only seen one or two of the Big Blue torches while diving, while about every other diver has a Dusty Light. Check it out!

we love the TL4000P, it's an amazing light for the price - at Bellevue Divers we sell many lights, from Big Blue to Light Monkey. Big Blue has a great customer service and post sales assistance. We do have several of their lights in stock and some available for testing all the way up to a dual VL58000P system.

I (and the wife) have dusty lights (and spare), and it functions great for a starter light. As CaptnJack stated, the focus is a FANTASTIC can light, it will be my next light purchase.

I (we) seem to get about 70 dives on the light before a switch goes bad or the cord holder comes off. I have 3 of them (bought another from a diver for cheap as a switch went bad on mine). All said, I would say I have about 250 on each (3) lights. Make sure the cord length works for ya, as I had to get one extended.

The next step up is a 24 or 35 Watt HID can light from Yellow Diving or Light Monkey. The HID beam cuts through our Emerald Sea a bit better than the LED. Big step up in price, though.
