Mother of all STA's.

Post by Linedog »

This came with my BPW, it's rather intimidating, weighing in at 4.75 pounds and 1/4 in thick. It came bolted to my Halcyon but it has no markings on it, can anyone ID it? Looks like it was $60 at one time.

It looks like a Fred T(agge) design. Not sure if he's still making plates or not or if he even made an STA. But if he did make an STA it would probably look something like that, thick, heavy as hell, with sharp bends.

Could be Hammerhead, too.

I have that same type

Didn't think of a Hammerhead, are they still in business?

I don't think that they are. I had one of their STAs. It was cool. Beefy, but cool.

Here's a follow up, I got ahold of Fred, it's one of his and he still makes backplates! He's sending me a spec/price sheet if anyone is interested.
