Salt-Away to soak my gear?

Post by Linedog »

I used it on my boat all the time, could it hurt my regs, tanks etc. I saw it at Tacoma Scuba awhile ago. Anyone here a user?

Here's a link to your post from a couple years ago. Salt-Away is mentioned.

I've used it for years, although I do rinse off with FW, any fabric type stuff afterwards.

Ya just never know. But everything gets dunked in a Salt Away tank. My RB sits soaking for 20m in a SA tank.

Gotta ask why bother? Just dive it.

Way back in the days of wooden scuba tanks, my wife owned a dive shop in Port Orchard and Tacoma and we always used Salt-A-Way for our rental and training gear. We never had a salt buildup, chlorine bleaching, chrome lifting or rust anywhere. Magic stuff!
