Local drysuit alteration/repair
Local drysuit alteration/repair
I need new dry glove rings glued into my DUI drysuit. Does anyone know a local(Seattle or 60 mile radius) shop that does that kind of work? I'd rather not send it out.

It's contact cement, not rocket science. Have you thought about the DIY option? Learning to do my own drysuit maintenance really improved my life.

These guys are usually fast, but I have had some mixed luck with them. They're better than BARE though!Gdog wrote:My spot is in portland, express drysuit repair.

+1 for what Ross said. Go to lighthouse and buy the contact cement, shove some soup cans or PVC pipe in the sleeves and glue them on. Turn around time is a day. It's really not hard to do, and as Ross points out, learning to repair your own gear will pay dividends down the road.

Re: Local drysuit alteration/repair
I've heard great stuff about Kalen at Tacoma Scuba, though haven't tried them myself.
I've had Hoodsport n Dive in Tumwater do some mods for me and have been very happy with the work, the price and the turn around time.
