Wet suit neck stretch

Post by JJHACK »

I have a couple wetsuits that the neck is very tight. If I zip them up over a tank to stretch the neck how long will it take to stretch them. Overnight or a week?

After which how long do they stay stretched? Any experience with this?

Overnight usually does the trick for latex. You don't want a neck seal that is too loose. Neoprene seals on a wetsuit may need more time. Dive a couple times, then maybe try again if it's still too tight. Once stretched, it will only get looser with age.

Dive more... with continued exposure, you'll not only get used to that delicate choking feeling but pretty soon you might even start to long for it ;)
