Is there a drysuit with attached boots and rings?

Post by carlk3 »

I'm looking for a new drysuit, but can't find one with the features I'd like. I'd love advice.

The features I (think I) want are:

* One layer of trilaminate material (my current White/Aqua Lung Fusion Fit has two layers, which is annoying)
* Attached boots (to save a step while dressing)
* Rings like the oval SiTechs over which I can pull cheap dry gloves.

The DUI Yukon and San Diego are almost perfect, but instead of rings they have wet glove seals.

Thanks for any ideas,
Carl

Do you not want zip seals then?? I went with a Trilam Bare techdry (has boots) and added the Sitech drygloves. Absolutely love it, pullover gloves do sound nice but I like the locking rings just fine.

I ended up adding a pocket to my suit, would highly recommend pockets as well. :supz:

JT, The "Trilam Bare techdry" looks good (very similar to the DUI Yukon). How did you get the Sitech drygloves added? (what options did you get on the wrist and neck of the Bare on your original order?)

I put the SiTech dry gloves and neck ring on my Whites Fusion, no problems.

The SiTech gloves are pretty easy to install, it's a system on interlocking rings. One set goes on/inside the suits wrist cuffs. The other fits into a pair of regular old rubber gloves. I actually bought mine off the shelf and it fits well. I have latex neck and wrist seals. And would definitely have added pockets

I also have the Bare Techdry with the Sitech gloves. I really love it. I have the attached boots, a neoprene neck seal and pockets on both thighs.
My last suit had a latex neck seal and neoprene socks that I used DUI rock boots with. My feet were always freezing. The attached boots keep my feet way warmer. I love them. The neoprene neck seal is a lot warmer too. That's my opinion. Some people (Who i assume have warmer feet) love rock boots and socks. Some people complain that the neoprene neck seal leaks a little when their head is turned just the right way. I've never had this problem. Pockets are great to have for a spare mask, SMB etc.

Any advice on where in the Seattle/Bellevue to get a Bare Techdry (UW Sports don't list it, Silent World doesn't list products)? Can it be ordered with Sitech cuffs?
Thanks,Carl

I got mine from Lighthouse dive in Seattle, they're in Lake City. It may be able to get it ordered with drygloves but you would probably have to call the shop and ask.

The SiTech dry gloves can be put on any suit with latex wrist seals. Just order latex wrist seals.

I may do this. Are people happy with the durability of attaching this way?

My wrist seals last just as long as the neck seal.
