What to do with old lead weights

Post by 60south »

A friend of a friend said they weren't diving anymore, and did I want their weight belt? No, I have enough lead to sink a battleship but said I'd take it if they didn't find anyone else. All good.

So this THING shows up while I'm gone. Crikey, I've never seen solid lead weights that big. What to do with this? Anybody need lead shielding for a nuclear reactor?

If you're in the Port Townsend area and want something to use as a buoy anchor, please drop by and take this thing from me.

I can make use of it, if you don't have a problem with me melting it down?

Just not sure when I will be in Port Townsend next. I have a friend that goes there fairly regularly.
