Lost weights @ Alki

Post by BASSMAN »

Just a Note:
I lost two 10 LB lead weights at Alki at About 80'.
Yes, This made for another interesting dive.
Some how I was able to recover from an inverted ascent of about 10'
and was able to actually go back down. untill I reached about 20' at the end of my dive, and then I "Corked".
So, If you happen to find one or two 10 LB molded lead weights at alki?Let me know, and we will meet for Pizza or something.

we were just coming back from the I beams, one of the other divers, (forgive me for not remembering her name), found one of them and started to bring it in, but gave up on it because of the weight. She did not know it was mine. We all had a good laugh over it.

Another good story why ditchable weights are a bad idea, good that you made it back without any complications.

A strange thing happened to our buddy Erik, he lost his weights at Three Tree a while back. Then, a couple months later we went to go dive there and as we're getting out of the water another diver (we didn't know) says "gee, I found this weight on my last dive" and Erik looks over and says "does it say 206.XXX.XXXX on it?!". It did, and it was his.

I hope you're as luck \:D/
