Because in the past they've been hard to find, and they're comfortable and cheap. They do wear out eventually too. I also keep a spare pair in my bag for times when one gets wet, either from a leak, or being dumb and dropping one in a puddle in the parking lot. Not that this has ever happened to me....

I got some more extra's because lately my wife has been stealing mine. Time to get her a pair.

the gloves can also be worn on either hand, so the second pair can be 2 backups if one glove gets lost.

or if its raining on the boat and your diving...or your buddy gets his gloves wet(coughnorriscough). ORRRR you happen to forget them at the parking lot at the muk because your soooo excited to get a beer and pizza...mmmhmmm pizza. Thats why i keep atleast 3 spare pairs now.

lol, i live in portland. the commute is a bit of a haul during the week... and sunday's out, unfortunately. no way to make it to redondo on saturday?

OK so here is the deal. Scott has graciously offered to pick mine up from Matt as they are diving together on Sat. Smike is also getting his from me via Scott. I will be getting them from Scott after my dive on Saturday. So let's throw this out there. If you are in the North and cannot get to Redondo Sat please contact Matt and pay for the gloves via paypal, racoon pelts, or whatever you do. Once that is done they can be added to the package that Scott/I am picking up. I plan to dive Mukilteo Monday, and perhaps Wednesday so you can come pick them up there.
