Sunny Weather!

Post by Bric Martin »

Today's weather was perfect! After the winter rain and choppy water I am really happy to see Spring arrive. The nudibranchs are starting to taper off, but it seems that the octos are really active recently. Everything in the Canal seems healthy and vibrant. The water seems to be warming, but we still average about 20 feet of visibility.

In between dives we had fun watching the eagles jockey for position. There were about 6 that went back and forth between a branch and the shoreline and then back to the branch. They squawked and argued the whole time, it was a pretty funny show.

Dale, thanks for another great day!

We dove Flagpole, we have done most of our diving on the south end of the Canal recently. There are many ways to dive this site, it never gets old!

Wow! These are really great shots! What kind of camera setup were you using? And - how deep was the pic taken with the rock fish and sponges?

I've only dove Flagpole once - did you "swim for it?" or have a boat??

Thanks, Keith

I agree with John. It's always a treat to see one of your dive reports!
