Hood canal

Post by deep diver »

Today on the canal the vis was up to 40'+ in spots once you got past about 45' of depth.
Found this new little critter... the last picture. Some kind of shrimp I think. Real strange, has seashells stuck to his legs. He was about 2" long.
Lots of baby wolf eels, seem to be around the same age as they are all about the same size.
Saw several octopus of various sizes, including this little guy who seemed to want to be friendly and reached out to get a hold of my hand, but when I reached towards him he got shy and darted back in his hole.
Nice to see all the life.

Gorgeous photos! I really like that sea lemon shot!

Wish I was going to be in PT this week but other commitments demand I be home. Go say hi to Hudson for me. Got some awesome tides this week.

I think that's a horned shrimp. The shells are pretty cool.

They are really tough to see. They blend in super well.
