sea cucumber mouth parts

Post by PapaZ »

Over the last month and half, I have noticed a large number of the sea cumbers have extented their mouth parts to be quite visible.
Normally, do not see these often.

Due to low D.O. and/or warmer water temperatures?

Same thing happens to me when I approach a Buffalo Wild Wings location.

I've typically seen this during low oxygen situations in Hood Canal. It seems different than simply having them extended to feed.
