Cove2 & Edmonds Oil Dock

Post by ScubaJess »

Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had some great Labor Day Weekend Dives! :pirate: Here's some of my shots from this mornings dives. Such fantastic viz at both locations. The long swim at Edmonds Oil Dock is totally worth it! I wish I could have seen it before they removed the pilings.
Thanks to YellowEye & Bradmond for the fantastic dives today!
Have a good day! :eric:

So, since the pilings aren't there anymore, where exactly do you dive at Edmonds Oil Dock? That was one of my favorite dive spots but haven't gone there in years because didn't think there'd be much to see there anymore.

Hi
The site's the same except the pilings are chopped off ~1' off the ground :(

The piling area is a sad graveyard. But there's still the rockpiles and deeper stray pilings to the north, and misc items to the south, etc

Still fun!

Thanks to Marek for confirming this first before we went out

Look for a big GPO inside the steel piling tubes (concrete cover with wire handle) or deep end of log/piling at about 85 FSW.

We wanted to come up and dive Cove 2 this but our new grandson decided he wanted to be born so that was the end of the diving idea for this past weekend... :partyman:

The Edmonds oil pier used to be my favorite shore dive site in Puget Sound....it was SUCH a damn tragedy when they ripped it out. I'm sad about it to this day....
