Sund Rock - Snoot There it is!

Post by Scubie Doo »

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

On Saturday, Penders and I hit Sund Rock. The mission was to photograph the Warbonnets in the Cloud Sponges with my snoot. Shooting with the snoot was a challenge, but I got some cool results.

On the second dive we hit the North Wall. Viz was great and the critters were out in full force.

Thank you. A snoot attaches to your strobe and provide a spotlight beam. This isn't my setup, but it shows the snoot.

Me too George. That is my fav too. I got the lighting from the snoot right on the edge of the eye, and it was in focus.

Ahh, The Snoot. I knew there was a technical term for that. I have a buddy that used to be way into [underwater] photography and he liked to call them "super soakers" (light soaking.) He would backlight and/or side light with one or two on remote strobes. http://www.kennethkopp.com/#/gallery--w ... Back-Light
I wish I had the patience. Keep up the good work! :)
