I seem to recall that the sea star was eating something that was much larger than a berthella, it looked to me like a Giant White Dorid, Doris odhneri. there were a number of them nearby. It could also have been a whitish colored Noble Sea Lemon perhaps, but I didn't pry the sea star off of his prey to find out.
