Orcas and Neah Bay 7/3/16

Oh, that's just my dive buddy getting separated from the boat by a giant pod of orcas off Waadah Island, Neah Bay.

This made me think of Janna's "Be my chum". I wondered if these whales were transients, seal/sea lion eaters, or residents which eat salmon. I checked the research website and J-pod, some residents, were sighted in that area on July 3rd. An exciting sighting.

We were out spear fishing and he did have a stringer full of lingcod and rockfish.

Good thing you don't have to swim faster than the Orcas, just your buddy. Recommend attaching your stringer onto his butt D-ring first.
