Tom Nic, 60south, and Bradmond splashed at 12:00 for dive # 1 at Day Island Wall. Tide was still flooding so we did the deeper south side. Vis was 15-20fsw and the Wolf Eels came to join in on the fun. One of them took a little taste of 60south's dry glove. Tom timed it well, as we turned around to head back there was still a fair amount of flood current, didn't take long and we had a relaxed trip back to the entry.

I had a great time on tonight's away mission with YellowEye, TomNic, ScubieDo and we also had shore support for Keith C. The baseman.
YellowEye & I beamed down to 68 feet below sea water for 72 Earth minutes and got to hang out with a super friendly large female wolf eel and her little orange boyfriend
We saw super cute tiny baby sculpins, a med GPO, hermit crabs, tube worms, a couple Chiton, top snails, rock Fisk, lots of tiny PMH's, Red Irish Lords, a Mosshead Warbonnet, a gunnel, scallops, clams, a few small sunflower stars, tiny 3 lined baby Nudibranchs & a variety of Buffalo sculpins all over. Viz was great at least 20 feet!
Sadly no shrimp!
We finished the night off with a post dive meal at the boathouse 19.

What a great, great dive day!
Hitting both slacks was a real treat. Nailed the current predictions, thanks to Mr. Pender's wizardry!
Doing both slacks allows you to go both ways and see the entire wall. Each side is awesome, and each side is different. Thanks to all for a great dive day!!

We had a great dive. 1 hour 27 minutes. My best dive at DIW. Vis was maybe a hazy 20'. 5 Wolfies, 3 GPO, a tiny grunt sculpin, 2 large clown nudis. Here are a couple of my better shots...
