Dive #450/451 @ San Juan Islands

Post by ScubaJess »

Star Date 2017100.7

YellowEye & I had the chance to go out on the Lu Jacs Quest with Anacortes Dive Shop yesterday! It was a great day for dives 450 & 451! :taco: :partydance: :eric: The weather was not bad! Much better then forecast predicted :supz: and the wind worked with us to allow us to do one of my favorite dives at Long Island Wall. :luv:

We hit Swirl Rock for Dive 1, lots of Golden Dironas & White Tips. Also a super cute school of yellow tail rockfish! The rocks were full of shrimp! Mostly juvie coons! I love no take zones! So much life is around! It's beautiful!

Dive 2 was epic at Long Island Wall :joshsmith: those fields of Strawberry anemones are so amazing! Also I dropped in on a field of White Sea cucumbers! It was really neat! I made friends with a little moss head war bonnet :luv: who took me on a swim about along the reef! He was super friendly!

I hope you all had a fun weekend!
Here are a few of my snaps!

Super beautiful! Long island wall rocks! Wish we could swap it for cove 2. Thanks for sharing.
