A great day - a world of color

Stephen Martin, H20Doc, Valerie, ScubaJess, JanK and I met 8 other divers at Deception Pass yesterday for a great dive. The slack was a little earlier than expected, but we still had a good hours' dive. It was Valerie's first time there and it was fun showing it to her. Viz was quite good, and all the usual critters were about.

We were originally thinking about going to Skyline for dive 2, but it got a little late to do that, so we headed elsewhere and ended up at Keystone for dive #2. It was such a beautiful day at the beach with calm seas, and sunshine. As it was high tide, current was raging a bit, but we managed to hide out of currents way behind the pilings, etc

What a great combo Deception Pass Bridge full of life and so much color & Keystone with the sun shining and hordes or fish and shrimp & Pickles Deli full of deliciousness!!!

Jess, what's that pink nudi? (assuming it's a nudi). 6th photo. Never seen that one before.

Great photos all around. I still need to dive Deception Pass. Just need to find a set of tides that works that isn't during the day during the week.

Happy Halloween!
I think it's a Pink Shaggy Mouse. I guess they turn the color of what they have been eating. I was excited to see him also. I've only seen them brown or gray before at Sund Rock and other sites, but I guess the food at Deception Pass is so colorful that the Nudies turn pink :-)

I hope you can join us there next season for a dive.
