A few of us met up for the first offical ThThTh of 2018. Tom Nic, Pogiguy, Vadsam, Scuba Swanie, and Kelli (sp), and special guest EJ! all met at Redondo. Everyone but myself and EJ met there earlier and had already done a dive or two or three. Vis was decent, 15' or so. EJ and I headed south on a lumpy hunt, and she spotted a red one! We also found 3 different snailfish, along with all the other usual characters. Here are a few photos.

This lumpy has some white spots on him that look like possible disease?

Here are some very small Barnacle Eating Nudis, doing what they do best...

What a treat to see EJ! It had been a LONG time!

Pogiguy05 and myself just about wore ourself out with 2 dives at TTN and 2 more at Redondo.

Dive 1 at Redondo we went South and down to the bottle field in the 70 fsw range, and there was this weird silt out - viz about 3'. Above 40 it was OK, but nothing to write home about. Last dive we went the Black Pearl Line to the VW and back, viz much better, and the usual critters out.

I'll toss a few pictures out....

Saw more than a half dozen of these Pacific Staghorn Sculpin - can't remember seeing this many in awhile.

Oh I forgot to mention, we saw 2 different market squid in the water column, both were eating on a fish. They were busy munching, but whenever I tried to get into position for a photo, they would zoom a little ways away and keep munching. I finally gave up.
