Keystone, March 25

Got in my first dives in more than six weeks yesterday morning. I wanted to hit the early morning slack, which meant in the water no later than 7 AM. So I had to drive around over Deception Pass, since the ferry doesn't start running that early on Sundays. Got there around 6:15 and in the water just as the sky was brightening. That first dive was glorious ... just me, and late in the dive a couple other people. No current, nice vis.

I'd just gotten my housing back from service, and opted for a macro lens ... so all my pics were of small stuff.

Nice Photos. The visibility started going downhill after you left. Down to 10-15ft on the Jetty, was better over at the pilings.

Where was the wolf eel at? I missed him on both dives yesterday apparently.

... about 3/4 of the way down the line from the jetty to the pilings there's another line going downslope. Follow that line till it disappears inside an old tire covered in barnacles. Look around ... there are piles of shells everywhere. They provide shelter for multiple juvi wolf eels ... I saw five of them in there yesterday, and there's at least a dozen and maybe more living in there.

Interesting. I've never gone down that line. Looks like I'll have to next time.

Super cool to see you there Bob!! I saw you get in the water and knew you had some insider knowledge.. Hastily splashed right after you!

Had a fantastic first dive, Dive #2 was resulted in a leaky dry glove. Had to get out of the water, get new glove liner, re-lock my glove and try the pilling again. Sadly the water leakage got me a little cold so I called it after 30min, not to mention the currents started rippin.

Here are a few snaps from my dives!
