Sixgill @ Redondo 8/2

Just past the carousel boat @ ~85fsw on a low tide. Stuck around long enough for me to get a few pictures and check that she was female before disappearing into the dark. 5-6 feet long, I guess?

Crazy!!! Do you dive rebreather or OC?

And it looks like you got shots of her in the water column and not just from above swimming on the bottom?

Open. Water column. I was sitting on the bottom and the shark swam above and around me.

Yap, Yap, Yap, Yap....

Sigh... 3 dives, no luck. I keep seeing pictures of her on everyone else's feed. I feel like the guy in Junior High trying to ask out an amazing girl, getting no response, and then seeing pictures of her with all your friends. :luv:

Amazing experience Derek! Great pictures.

I didn't see the shark but I did get a consolation prize of a Giant Skate!! It was at least 4 feet long and 3 feeet wide. Biggest one I've ever seen. It buzzed past me as I hung out at 90 - 100 feet waiting for the SixGill.

thats a huge skate, I've never seen one that big
=============================================

- I got a good squirt in my mouth
- I would imagine that there would be a large amount of involuntary gagging
- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it
