Blue Bird Day in the San Juan Islands

StphnMartin, JPA, ScubaJess, Scubie Do, Keith C, and VJW went out for a fantasic day of diving out in the San Juans yesterday. What a great day... Sares Head (CandyLand), Davidson Rock (brooding anemone city) and Long Island Wall (strawberry wall) all on one short-daylight day! The weather was fantastic, as was the company, the cookies, the bald eagle, and the marine life!

Was an amazingly epic day of diving! My first time to Long Island wall and what beautiful carpets of strawberry anemonies. Saw several candy striped shrimp, two Puget Sound king crabs, and a huge yellow eye rockfish also during the day. Still looking through footage (will take awhile).

Fabulous snaps Yellow Eye! Really like the shallows at sares. I’ll need dive model lessons from SJ! Also like the macro at redondo, especially the gunnel family. So much to see everywhere!! So thankful to get to dive with you guys!

Thank you SJ. Those baby PSKC are so tough to shoot. I tried so many lighting options to get a good shot. Can’t wait for the next one.

I got to enjoy hanging out in the boat and eating cookies in the sun while you all were grabbing such great shots down below! Nice work everyone! I'd gladly do it again! Puget sound king crabs for everyone!
