New Year's Sund Rock Dive

What a great way to start off the new year!
Jess, Eric, Tom, Tim and Kirsten all got wet today at Sund Rock.
And - there were many other divers all happy to plunge into the water on this calm, sunny and beautiful day.
Viz on the South Wall opened up to 30 feet at depth. Viz was generally good wherever your journey took you.
Thanks to Kirsten and Tim for bringing along Mr Heater - a warm and welcome retreat from the cooler weather.
On the first dive, I went to 115 feet deep and visited the cloud sponges. About a half year ago - these two sponges turned brown (as if they are dying). I stopped by a couple days ago and saw just one shy warbonnet; today - just rock fish.
Lots of nudies at various depths; many wolfies, spot shrimp, perch and rock fish.
Here are a couple of pics.
Thanks, all for joining me on the first day of the new year!
