We had a nice slow drift in the waning slack tide on the way out, and when the turnaround time came we went up slightly towards the upper reaches of the wall. The channel then decided to try and imitate Deception and gave us some gusty bursts of fun before spitting us out into the eelgrass shallows. Beer and burgers followed at the Brown Lantern in Anacortes before heading home.
