Vis was great yesterday, 25ft in places.

wow, nice area. I'm trying to recall, is that current sensitive dive site?

Very. It's why we don't dive it often. The water gets flushed out in the straits so the vis is usually better there.
We use the
Marrowstone Point current chart. Actual slack is typically 45-60 minutes before predicted.
Yesterday (8/12) slack was predicted for 6:43, we splashed around 5:30pm, and actual slack was 6ish, so it worked out well.

yea, I read your post for 08, as I recall dive slack before flood, not slack before ebb.
