Redondo 7-11 was 15', may 20' tops, and schmutzy. Longing for some nice opened up late summer viz. The pics I've seen of Keystone looked pretty amazing.

China Wall and the Shilshole Barges yesterday -- 20 to 25 feet, ambient light quite a ways down.

Bainbridge Fingers and China Wall today -- awesome. More light at depth on the deep finger than I have ever seen. At least 30 feet, maybe more. Hoping for the same tomorrow!

Below 25 or 30 fsw the North Wall at Sund was easily 25' viz. Very nice. The shallows was about 15' - still way nicer than it's been. 2 dives, 145 minutes underwater, the best dives I've had in months! \:D/

Smith Island, Monday the 13th. 35 feet vis, some silt and pieces of kelp carried by the current.

Three Tree North yesterday around 1 PM, luv2dive and smallrun had viz in the 30's. I tried to go but some of the more pebbly stuff in the shallows shifted under my bad leg and wrenched it again so that put me out of commission. Thankfully I didn't have my gear on yet. But they both said the viz was fantastic and all depths.

Were you really going to try and dive on that ankle? :smt119 Be careful not to take yourself out of diving permanently.

Yeah, I see a foot & ankle specialist on Monday and will probably end up in surgery, so I wanted to get one decent dive in before that happened. I suited up carefully, cautiously made my way down to the water, my daughter and smallrun helped get my gear down there on my Scuba-2-Go, and was set to gear up in the water where it wouldn't put any pressure on my leg. The plan was to use a couple of small sticks to pull myself along so I didn't have to kick, though I brought one fin for my good leg as a backup, intending to overlap my feet and do a seal kick. Everything was in place and the water felt great. Then, idiot that I am, I tried to come out of the water to get my gloves and hood, and that's when the gravel shifted and I let out a scream that could be heard for several hundred yards. My daughter came running and helped me keep from falling, but by the time the shock subsided I knew I wasn't going to make it.

I now pause to emit a string of Yosemite-Sam-type curses.................

Nobody understands the desire, or in some cases physical need, to get in the water more than this crowd. But dude, seriously, I don't think that your original plan showed good judgment. For your own physical health, and concern for your wife and daughter had something bad happened while under. You were clearly in no position to help yourself, let alone them. It may be best to shelve diving until your healthy. Many of us have been on medically enforced dry spells. It sucks but it's part of diving.

Oh and vis at Mukilteo Wed was great. 40'.

Les Davis today around 5:00pm . Viz was outstanding during a flood ! I was out diving my Drager SCR. At 80 feet depth I could look up and see the sun....Just too make sure I was not suffering some sort of RB issue I switched to OC and took a few sanity breaths.......Yes,,, it was the sun :smt038

Friday evening at Cove 2 was amazing. Could see all of the I Beams from one spot.

Sunday evening at Cove 2 only about half that of Friday. I think the difference may have been a weekend full of divers.
