Redondo Sept. 1 9:00 pm, 5' down to 90'. Could have been a covey of six gills, wouldn't have seen them 6' away. Ratfish were plentiful tho!

Sund -- So bad in the first 30fsw that I have to say NEGATIVE 5 feet... (I couldn't even see the lens of my mask).

Better below 30fsw, though... maybe 25 ish feet or so on average. got worse below 60fsw again to 85fsw down to maybe 15 at the sea pens.

Not sure if this was a fluke or not, but Edmonds was probably 10-15' close to shore then 20+ out at the pontoon this morning on a 7' ebb tide. Awesome!

Sund today 10 feet or so down to 15, 5 or less to 35 and then pretty good at 10-15 and clearing at least to 70+ with more wolf eels than you can count.

Rereading this I meant at 70+ it got clearer...not 70+ feet vis. Similar today. OK above 20 and below 35' with a real ugly layer in between.

Three Tree - gorgeous, sunny, I'm 10 minutes into the dive taking pictures before I realize I have forgotten to turn my light on. :) 30-40' viz, the most ambient light I've seen at 80 fsw in months. Off to Saltwater!

Sund Rock 9/11 AM. North Wall very murky from 20-45fsw. 10-15 below that. PM South Wall Murky down to about 20fsw. 10-15 below that. Sounds like we should have gone to Three Tree. Although we did see 9 Wolfies on the first dive and 5 or 6 on the second.

Saltwater State Park was 10-15' with lots of particulate in the water. Still a fabulous dive.

9-12 Titlow - 5:45pm splash - VIZ: 30'

Every now and again a cloud of particulate and/or sand would comes through, but then it would clear back up.

I've been leaving my GoPro at home because the viz has been so-so on my last few dives and I was really wishing I had brought it for this one. Gorgeous dive, absolutely beautiful to this newbie.

About the same this morning, but viz in the shallows was ok.

Saturday 9/21/13 the viz at Three Tree North was amazing. A good 50' all the way down to 78 fsw (as deep as we went).

Viz today at point Hudson was very good. Lots of critters out including one smallish GPO out and about sunning himself on a rock. lots of gunnels in the shallower areas and quite a few hooded nudies.
