Redondo on 4/27. Decent to about 90'. Vis was in the 10' range. Toward the end of the dive the Redondo River started making things a mess. Vis turned to about 5'.

Last night vis at Mukilteo was decent. I as in 35 ft and could see the surface. Horizontal viz at the geodome about 20-25 ft max I suppose.

Cove 2, 0630 Friday AM. Starting to get pretty chunky, but viz down to about 30 fsw was still about 20', but by the deeper areas, viz looked more like 10'.

Cove2 this morning splash time 730ish or so....was pretty rough. I would say 5ft.....maybe 10ft if we were lucky. We used the phrase "Cove mud". Went all the way down to Budda and was still pretty bad viz the whole way down.

I went on Saturday night (5/2/15) and it was about 10 feet and did not really clear up much, even at 80 feet. I walked down to the fishing pier last night - and if anything, the bloom looks thicker yet at the surface.

Deception Pass Sunday AM. Nasty fine suspension in the shallows with less than 10 feet. There were some waves so I thought maybe sand being kicked up. At depth it was better, 10=OK, 15=barely, 20=no buddy. Did not look like plankton, looked like river silt, but there has been no rain and the Skagit is running low. A buddy suggest that on very low snow pack years the glaciers melt faster and the ground up fine silt is sent down river at an even higher rate than a normal snow pack year. That makes some sense as Deception has been poor to lousy all spring.

Last night, at Mukilteo... the vis was 3-5 ft max, all the way down to 75ft. One diver said it was 5 ft at 90 ft depth.
There were lots of crabs and prawns out however.

Clay wall was pretty silty today, I'd say maybe 10ish feet of vis down to about 55fsw, but did clear up a little down below the wall.

Cove 2 is better today than it was just two days ago. About 15-20 feet. Not exactly clear though, some whale snot remains.

Sund Rock: 5-21/22
ok on the top 15ft, lots of bloom/haze from 20-40ft. Opens up to ~10ft viz below that, but dark.
Lots of whale-snot in the water, and some bigger egg-yoke jellies starting to show up too.
:)

For anyone looking to do a gear rinse, Lake Cushman had decent water yesterday up toward the north end. 40ft or so of vis until you get below 60ffw, where it drops to about 15ft. Nice and toasty at 63F in the top 30ft! 47F below that.
