Viz Reports Thread
Re: Viz Reports Thread
On top of the cold water, the vis was...foggy, misty, along those lines, and not that great. By the third day, vis was maybe 15' at best. Not what I had anticipated at that location.
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Tacoma water front 15 feet or so not too bad was diving start of flood
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Cove 2, Tuesday 9/11, 7PM: 5-10 above 40, 10-15 below. Found 3 big GPOs
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Edmonds: 9:00am about 10 feet, 12:00 about 5 feet...maybe.
Pretty bad.
Pretty bad.
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Point Whitney 0-20 3-5, 20-40 crappy, 80-100 craptastic (first dive) worse second dive on flood. Nice dive site though.

- I got a good squirt in my mouth
- I would imagine that there would be a large amount of involuntary gagging
- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it

Maury Island Barges and Saltwater State Park -- Via Bandito Charters
Easy 30+ foot viz - Large whale snot - lots of fish.
We could see the whole trawler from the first piling at Maury and had an excellent view of the barge remains.

Redondo 9/15/12 40' at depth, 25' in shallows in the morning. Not quite as good for the second dive but probably still 20-25'

Re: Viz Reports Thread
Edmonds UWP was about 10ft or so at around noon (near high tide), a little worse in the shallows and a little better at depth (only got down to 35fsw). Not amazing but definitely diveable.
Re: Viz Reports Thread
TTN yesterday was 40-50' - I just love our NW waters when we have this viz.... So nice!

Nice. We probably had 40 feet at Langley once under 30 feet. Surface muck, but deep deliciousness.Mortuus wrote:Surface was visible from 85 fsw today at TTN. Horizontal vis of 40'-60'. Nuff said =D
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Skyline, very very hazy 15, more like 5-10ft.
Would be an awesome dive if the viz was better.

Re: Viz Reports Thread
Redondo first dive at 1:30 pm, approx 25' vis. Second dive 4:30 pm, 40' vis...very awesome.
Re: Viz Reports Thread
Viz was 40' plus at TTN this morning. The surface chop was brutal and forget taking pics above 20' but below that it was very nice....

Re: Viz Reports Thread
Jorsted Creek this afternoon was 40', and our follow-up Octopus Hole visit was 30'. Best part was that viz was good shallow as well as deep, so we got to enjoy both shallow walls. Octopus hole had a thick layer of brown goo from about 10-15 fsw but then cleared nicely.
