We ran out to the Possession Point Ferry this morning, and the water was still chocolate milk when we got there. We didn't dive for other reasons, so I don't know how deep the chocolate layer went.

Nope, but I heard of someone else who did. Tim and I popped up in 5' of water at the end of the dive to see a log raft about 25 yards away headed our direction! :pale: Needless to say, it was a quick de-finning and shuffling out of the water! I heard someone say it was both low viz AND an overhead environment with all the logs and debris floating in the water! Pay attention people! :-)

Dove Alki Cove 2...and I will confirm that viz was not even 2feet from 0-15 feet. Cleared up, if you can call it that below 15 feet to about 3 feet!

This may be one time where diving in the lake has comparably "good" vis. Dove from Matthews beach park this morning and vis was ~15. Down to about 30ffw you didn't really even need a light. Not much to see, found a few strange objects, some logs, and the storm water outflow.

Sunday 11/15/08. Onamac Point, Camano Island, chocolate coffee on top, clears up below 20-25' to about 15 feet horizontal viz. Dark.
Same in the mid section of Holmes Harbor.

Redondo today was better than the rest of the area, which is not saying a whole lot. Lots of debris in (and on) the water and low vis above 20 feet. Below that, it opened up fairly well.
Sund Rock/Octopus Hole yesterday was 10-15 feet, with occasional pockets of 3-5 feet.

Three Tree North, Monday 11-17, 15 - 20' viz. Still alot of the fine silt in the water, hopefully that will be going away soon! Still the best viz in the Sound right now...

Redondo Nov 17: first 10 feet, viz less than 5 horizontal. Next ten feet, maybe 5-7. Below 20 fsw ~10-15 ft horizontal, varying somewhat depending on depth.

With all of the muck in the water at the local sites we ran out to Keystone Jetty Saturday and did a couple of dives. Vis was ok, about 15 - 20 ft.

We found a juvenile wolf eel living in the pilings on the deeper side of the wharf. We tried to get a picture but he was a bit shy and we couldn't get him to come out of the crevice he's living in.

Redondo today was about 10-15 feet, fairly consistent. We tried Les Davis first and came in after 15 minutes. Basically, it was the consistency of beef stew.

Thanks to Cardiver, TomNic and Bassman for a great dive @ TTN on 11/20. When viz is bad everywhere else, it is usually good here. Here are a few pics to compliment Cardivers. Bob

This may be too late to be helpful this weekend, but we dove Redondo this afternoon at high tide, and it was about 15 ft. Bob

Not that it matters starting tomorrow, but Edmonds Oil Dock was 15-20 ft this morning. Did one last dive to pay my respects... :(
