SD is your home town? That's cool! I'm on Wally's trip that leaves Thursday (hence no diving) and it's my first time visiting SD.

Which part of San Dog are you from? I lived in El Cajon for a while before moving to Imperial Beach. Half a block away from the beach. loved that place!

Kim and I will be diving in the morning on Thursday so I might show up depending on how early we get back, how I feel, etc.

By the way, it looks like the tidal exchange is going to be pretty big (03:33PM LST 10.5 H 10:33PM LST -1.0 L). How much will this affect conditions? I don't think I've done Redondo on such a large exchange.

I'm from a town in North County called Poway. About 20 minutes from the beach now tha they built a new highway.....

If you guys are going for a lumpie dive I'd suggest doing it soon ... only found two last night. The ones I'm used to seeing in the same places all the time are mostly gone now. Rex hasn't been on his usual perch the past two nights. Archie (the bright orange one) wasn't in his usual spot either ... I found him about 30 feet away, roaming around looking bewildered ... then again, lumpies always look bewildered

Not sure what's driving them off ... possibly it's a natural cycle, or perhaps they just don't like all the fresh water runoff they're putting up with these last few days.

On the other hand, we found lots of snailfish last evening ...
