That sounds like a great idea! I have wanted to try it. But I think I am going to Keystone Sat. Vis. should not be too bad there.

Clear Lake here in Mount Vernon has an old steam train engine that went off a trestle and is sitting on the bottom covered with Bluegill and Bass. Anyone heard of this?

How is the vis? The only thing fun about diving in Lake Crescent is the clear water... not much to see.

A dude I took sailing a couple of times told me about it. He lives right by it. I will ask him if he can put us on it. It's a boat dive or a long swim.

This post was originally for today. Now that today's gone by, I'm going to try to find exact coordinates for the old locomotive, and then create a new post to schedule a dive there.

Stay tuned...

Digging up old thread and doesn't look like onasphere has been on NWDC in a long time.

Anyone have any info on the train supposedly in Clear Lake?

there I did your home work ....

http://www.washingtonruralheritage.org/ ... /clearlake

https://www.facebook.com/clearlakehistory

my best advice is to call the Historical society , and get true Hard facts ...But it would appear to the rail road maps the train tracks went next to the lake , and not over the lake .. :taco:
