The Submerged Cultural Resources Exploration Team (SCRET; http://www.scret.org) has released its second newsletter for 2006. This newsletter focuses on a Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, a World War II era fighter aircraft, whose remains lie approximately 200 feet deep in Lake Washington, near Seattle, Washington. Enjoy.

Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat
This is just downright cool.
I hope to get to the point of diving some of the wrecks in Lake Washington someday . . . the pictures and stories of these wrecks fascinate me.
First step is fundies, it looks like Steve will be willing to teach it over two consecutive weekends, which makes it much more managable for me from a work standpoint.

Sorry, dude! The SCRU described in Submerged and the SCRET are two entirely different things. The SCRU of Dan Lenihan was a dive team within the National Park Service. They have since changed their name since the acronym was considered offensive by some.burntchef wrote:if you havent read submerged by daniel lenihan you must go find this book. daniel started the s.c.r.u. and his book has some amazing stories as well as a few cool pics including cave idol sheck exley.
