I did a quick check of the tides and we have at least a +4 all day every weekend until the end of the year so launching shouldn't be an issue.
People who are bringing their boat please reply with the weekends you will be available so we can start to lock things down. I'll update this post so we can keep a running tally.

November 8-9 -- Bill Z
November 15-16 -- Bill Z
November 22 - 23 -- Bill Z
November 29 - 30 -- Bill Z
December 6-7 -- Bill Z
December 13-14 --
December 20-21 -- Bill Z
December 27-28 -- Bill Z

My experience with these things is to just pick a weekend and see who can go... There's always some people who can and some who can't.

How about Saturday December 6th? Weekend after the Turkey Day holiday weekend.

Boat peoples please chime in if you wanna go, and once we get the boat's set we can figure out our total number of divers.

I'm good for December 6th.

The only caveat is that I have an overhead protocols class sometime between now and the end of the year. I should know a firm date sometime within the next few weeks.

This sounds like fun, but likely diving in hood canal on the 6th on the Down Time and port Townsend on the 7th shore diving.

I'm good for any weekend.
we might want to plan on 2 date's . The weather can be pretty hard to predict this time of year.

I totally agree... and not between Dec 4-16th :)

The NWDC general fund will chip in $100 for the first 10 vehicles' day parking fees for those without passes already.

Let's apply it to the vehicles trailoring boats first and then to the ones carrying only divers.

Just let me know who to send it to a week or two before the dive.

Thank you to CaptnJack for organizing this!

I've never seen a sign there that you need any kind of permit to park there. I have a WSP pass and the wildlife pass and I've never put either one in the window to park there. Every other place I've been to has a sign up if you need one. In less they have changed that in the last month.

Oh, I was just going off of this. Can anyone confirm?
CaptnJack wrote:The Gardiner ramp is ok, better at higher tides. No dock or floats or anything like that at all. Pretty exposed to winds too. There are no other public access points in Discover Bay unfortunately so we have to work with what we got. Requires a Parks/DNR/WDFW discover pass to use and park there. ($30 yr or $10 a day)

I stand corrected, I pulled it up on the Port of PT website and yes you have to pay. I guess I was just lucky in the past.

So far we got three boats committed. Me, Bill and Don. I can hold one more at this point. Don, Bill how many NDWC spaces do you have free?

Ohop and JPA are you guys coming with (or without) boats? How many spaces do you have available?

I've winterized my boat and I'm unable to plan for this trip. Sorry.

I'd like to come but I've been a bit remiss in planning. I'm going on the Nautilus Swell Thr-Sun. When I get back I'll see if I can get it together enough to nail this down.

Winterized??? Wow

So we have 3 spaces left plus however many on Bill's boat. So divers chime in here, I can't keep track of PMs and that way others can see who's coming...

I also have a couple divers interested. Can anyone seat three? If no can someone speak up that I can have a seat? I will gladly pay some gas and help on deck.

I could make room for 3 if needed.
I wouldn't want to leave any one high and dry.
