Does today's rain means tomorrow's bad viz?

We'd love to dive Edmonds tomorrow. The exchanges will be great. The latest weather reports look good.

But will today's heavy rain mean bad viz everywhere tomorrow?

(I don't have a good understanding of how predictably rain one day effects viz the next.)

It shouldn't too bad - Edmonds isn't very prone to river runoff. It's a long ways from the Snohomish and it gets quite a bit of clean water coming in through Admiralty Inlet.

The furthest south that I've seen significant (chocolate milk) runoff is at Possession Point.

Other than storm drain outflow our rule of thumb when diving Everett - Mukilteo is 3 days after a big rain like we just had the viz will be bad. Edmonds is kind of a crap shoot sometimes great sometimes not. Having said that I think that you would be OK with the viz on Tuesday.

Enjoy the dive!

Thanks & thanks! We are planning on diving tomorrow (Tuesday). Now, I'm hoping the winds -- predicted to be 9 mph from the S at Noon -- won't be cause too much surf.
