Pt. Whitney

Post by WylerBear »

Zen Diver and I did a couple of dives at Pt. Whitney yesterday. Saw tons of great stuff including a nice Spiny Dogfish and a couple of fish neither of us had seen before. Unfortunately, I didn't get photos of the Dogfish or the new fish. But I did manage to get other photos. They can be seen here:

Valerie and I both managed to do the "longest dive I've ever done before" yesterday. Our first dive was to 90' and lasted 104 minutes and the second was to 70' and lasted 108 minutes. Obviously, we spent a lot of time in the nice, warm shallows.

Great dives, lots of fun had by all!

Great shots, Georgia!

I especially like the shot of the Grunt Sculpin.....I've never seen such a colorful pattern quite like that!

Great hooded nudibranch pictures. I don't think I have a good picture of one of those yet.

I think the red and black "buddy" fish was my favorite.. The eyes were so expressive!

Great shots!

Isn't it nice to get at least a couple of people to comment on your pictures?

That was so cool, (and warm in the shallows) to get 3 and 1/2 hours of bottom time, on two tanks, on open circuit. No wonder we held it to "just" two dives :partyman:

(and your tree gunnel pix were much better than mine #-o )

Hooded nudies, gunnels in trees, and a warm smiling buddy in red and black - superb shots, Georgia!

I heard Paisley was coming back this year. Now we know it is true. I've always said the Underwater World had a jump on Paris for fashion trend setting.

Back to back single tank dives over 100 minutes, and you weren't at Titlow...impressive! I guess I better hit the treadmill if I'm ever going to be allowed to dive with the ladies again.

Beautiful photos Georgia!
