Aug 23rd (2 Tank Boat Dive) on the Aluminator

Hello NWDC Fellow Divers!

Does anyone want to go on this boat dive with me? UWS in Bellevue needs at least 5 people to sign up for the trip or they will have to cancel. Please let me know if you are interested (we have until nedt Monday to let them know if we can fill the boat)?

It should be great fun! I've never been to any of these locations, but I hear they are awesome!

Directions
Aluminator is located in slip N-14 at Elliott Bay Marina (http:elliottbaymarina.net).

Elliott Bay Marina is located on the south bluff of Magnolia, just west of Pier 91. From I-5 take the Mercer Street Exit. Proceed straight on Mercer St until it ends (after it becomes W Mercer St and then W Mercer Place,) then merge to the right onto Elliott Ave heading north. Look for signs for the Magnolia Bridge. Stay right and get on the bridge. Take the first (and only) exit off to the right of the bridge. The exit is marked. Take the second left and follow this road as it winds into the marina.

"N" dock is located at the east end of the marina. When you drive in to the parking lot, you will see signs that say "Permit Only", but you should drive right past them to the loading area (yellow curb) nearest the entrance to "L, M, & N" docks. Grab a dock cart and unload your car, then park in the row nearest the street which is clearly marked as "Guest Parking". You can phone Howie on Aluminator for the entrance code to the gate by calling 206-571-3273. The code for the gate will also work for the marina rest rooms.

Howie runs a fun boat. He often goes to blakely rock, where there's some great diving. Always a good time!

I can't make it this time because I'm going camping, otherwise I would!

This sounds fun, Jess! Only thing I'm balking at is the time. I'm going to a Polish wedding the night before and the last one I went to had a full bottle of vodka issued to each man, woman and child (not exaggerating). By the end of the night people had finished it all and brought more from their rooms (also not exaggerating!).

I guess I can't complain though as this marina is about as close as one could possibly be to me. Pencil me in for now, I think I want to join. I'll call Dougie Fresh in the next couple days and confirm.

Blakely Rock (Shangri-La) is great. I'd ask to do the slack dive on that one. Stephen and I dive it from my boat all the time. Live boat pickup is so much more relaxing.

Poopsticks - I just put it on my calendar and when I committed I saw that there was a concert and remember thinking, 'well I ain't going" but forgot we have a child.
Child needs to be watched and stuff. Pencil erased as I try and locate options

I talked to Doug at UWS and he said to bring payment on Sunday morning to pay Howie Directly. See you all then! So excited!!!
