Diving in California

Post by ffdiver »

Hi all,

I know Southern California is not the Northwest but figured I may as well throw it out there and see what happens.

i'll be headed to San Diego in a couple of weeks for about a week or so and I'm looking to dive a bunch of times. Shore/Wreck doesn't matter. If anyone wants to hook up and dive i'm all for that and if anyone can recommend a shop or guide that would be appreciated too.

I've dived with Waterhorse Charters down there a couple times, there operation is great. They do wreck alley, kelp forests, and the Coronado islands, all great locations. HEres a link to their site http://www.waterhorsecharters.com/index.html

I would give a thumbs up to Sundiver out of San Pedro area (near LA). Great operation with super fast boats. Get you out to Catalina in 45 minutes instead of the usual 90 minutes. Trip includes tanks and weights, snacks, lunch, and drinks. , about $100 per day per person.
