Triton Cove Pinnacle

Post by Jeff Pack »

Deep Pinnacle at Triton Cove?

We were looking at NOAA charts, and theres something just away from Triton there that goes from 150-300 feet pretty fast.

Anyone know anything about it?

Appears to maybe be another one south of Pullali, but its only around 50ft or so.

The Pulali one is buoyed. A great scooter dive.

The Triton one Scott Boyd did years ago but I don't recall if he found anything worth seeing

Different pinnacle lol.
As I recall I heard the triton pinnacle was a nothingburger. Probably due to a drastic lack of O2 down there a big chunk of the year. So I haven't been especially motivated to even look. Would love to see video of it though.

I have dived that triton pinnacle. It’s awesome! We went at a negative low tide and anchored at the high spot like 115’. There are massive wall ledges that staircase down in to the abyss of hood canal. Many medium sized cloud sponges all over and giant old rockfish too, red brots in the cracks and fissures. Reminds me of the flagpole dive site but bigger, deeper and darker.
I definitely want to dive it again.

Just to be clear which bump you're talking about its this one at the 18 fathom spot right?
