Saturday April 20th Redondo Clean up dive, meet at 8am

Post by ScubaJess »

Hello Awesome Divers,

I'm planning another Redondo Clean up dive.

Meet at 8 AM at the Redondo Beach parking lot since tides will be crazy later in the day, should be another fun underwater golf ball hunt. Just bring a tote bag or any bag you don't mind getting all salty.

I hope you guys can join.

When: Saturday April 20th
Where: Redondo Beach
Meet at 8am by parking lot pay station

Live Long And Prosper!!!

Stay Warm underwater with the Weezle Extreme Plus undergarment! Please let me know if you would like to order one or have any questions. :luv: :partydance: :eric: :taco:

Just for my understanding.. High tide is at 5.49 AM at 11.8 feet and low is at 12:26 PM at -0.92 feet. Isn't 8:30 splash down right in middle of the crazy tide?

Yep it is. Redondo is less current sensitive than many other sites, that's why we can pull it off. Redondo can sometimes have unexpected current, known to divers as the Redondo River. Usually it is short lived and at the bottom of a very large ebb, but not always.

Just out of curiosity and future planning, when you say "at the bottom of a very large ebb", do you mean near the low tide or near the time of maximum current?
